Nyhavn is a harbor quarter of 1700.-century waterfront, canal and entertainment district in Copenhagen, Denmark. It stretches from Kongens Nytorv to the harbor just south of the Royal Playhouse, it is surrounded by colorful buildings from 1700 and the beginning of the 18th century century townhouses and bars, cafes and restaurants. The harbor was excavated from 1671 to 1673 by Swedish prisoners of war as an alternative to the existing harbor.

Nyhavn is one of the finest ports in Scandinavia and a popular place for both tourists and Copenhageners. In summer, the many charming outdoor restaurants along the harbor ideal to settle down and enjoy life while relaxing with good food and a cold beer. Along the harbor are a number of older and great boats along with charming buildings are helping to make Nyhavn to the gem it is in Copenhagen.
