St Helens is the largest city in the north-east coast of Tasmania and is located in Georges Bay, Australia. St Helens is about 160 km east of Tasmania's second largest city, Launceston.

St Helens is known as the sport fishing capital of Tasmania, but is also known for its oysters. The town is next to St Helens Important Bird Area, recognized by BirdLife International because of its importance as a nesting site for seabirds and waders.

In St Helens trades a lot of life on the sea. The beaches, bays and estuaries here is perfect for swimming, walking on the beach, sailing, snorkeling and diving, and all kinds of fishing.
