Mauritius is situated in exotic locations in the Indian Ocean. Although the island of Mauritius is part of the African continent, is the 2400 km from mainland southeast coast, 900 km from Madagascar or approx. 4 hour flight from South Africa. The isolated location not preclude Port Louis is often referred to as the second largest economic center in Africa after Johannesburg.

The palm trees swaying under the weight of heavy coconuts, and the waves of the Indian Ocean gurgles rhythmic and entices the visitor to the white sand beaches to themselves. A fishing boat is rolling towards the shore with the current yield of tuna, sharks and barracudas. The American writer Mark Twain believed that Paradise was created with Mauritius as an example. And one first visited Mauritius, one is inclined to agree with him. Your holiday on the idyllic tropical island is an adequate substitute for the afterlife.

Mauritius has a subtropical climate. October to April is a good and warm climate all day. This period is the warmest and most popular with 22 to 30 degrees.

Keep in mind that tropical downpours occur most frequently during this period. Tropical storms / cyclones can also occur, but are fortunately more rare.
May to September is the driest period, with warm days and cooler nights, approx. 15 to 22 degrees. Bring a jacket / sweater for evening use. The west coast has the most stable weather year-round. Something more wind on the east coast during the period from May to August / September.
