Tampa with its well over 300,000 inhabitants is the Florida's third largest city after Jacksonville and Miami. Counter to the suburbs, the city has a population of around 2.7 million. Because of the proximity to Cuba and other Caribbean Tampa has a large population of Spanish speakers. The racial division is 64% white, 26% black and 13% hispanic. The remaining percentages hotel consists of other smaller minorities.
